Why won't you tell your dad? You need to tell him, especially if it is affecting your health. You do need to drink lots of water, put ice in it, it helps cool the body down. Cool showers. I put a cold rag around my neck, This helps. I work out in the yard alot. I even wrap one around my head. I can't take the heat either. See if you can compromise with your dad. See if he will agree to 78 or 80 to set the Air on. Good Luck.

are you sure it's heat exaustion? with your BMI it might have more to do with a lack of nutrients. What you are describing sounds alot like being anorexic.

Tell your dad about your condition-and if he still won't listen, crank it on to 75 degrees (a doable temperature-not giving you an insane bill and at the same time not making you sick). Using the air conditioner doesn't hurt the environment either-it's solar warming.

drink lots of water. not at once but every 4 hours.
also you could just sit under the cold shower for 5 minutes. you'll be fresh after that.

Keep hydrated! Drink a lot of water, keep the shades down in your room to keep the sun/ heat out. Take a cool shower, or just run your wrists under cool water. Put a washcloth over your forehead (a cool/ cold one). DONT drink things such as pop, or have ice cream-- it actually dehydrates you if anything.

Good luck.
Have you thought of buying a fan too?

p.s. No matter if you think it works or not, DRINK WATER, and if your headache is really bad take some tylenol. If you know you will be out in the sun, drink water prior, during, and after. It will help.
