You'll see many differnt brands and prices. Find a few your interested in and then, most importantly, read the reviews. That's a fantastic way to check out a camera before buying. You will need a memory stick but they're fairly reasonalbe now. For $160 I think you could get everything you need. Don't forget a camera case and spare batteries, and a recharger if possible. It doesn't matter about megapixels but on the LENS. Bigger lenses are bettter but look a little funny. better ones like Panisonic are $180-1,000 but they work great!
