munich-marienplatz.jpgMunich (München). Munchen is Bavaria’s beautiful capital city and Southern Germany’s leading city, site of the famous Oktoberfest and the gateway to the Alps. You must see and go to Marienplatz, The city center. It is made up largely of the Karlsplatz and the pedestrian shopping zone that leads down to Marienplatz square, which are the main tourist hang outs. Other interesting places are Rathaus-Glokenspiel, Olympic village and more. Get some hotels in Munchen to enjoy the city.

The must see destination are Schonbrunn palace, the former summer palace of the Habsburg family and the ultimate palace experience in Vienna. (the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1996).
