The cleaner squirted out the side of the bottle and some landed directly on the bag. The spots are a lot darker than the leather of the bag. Please help.

Unfortunaltey there is probably a warning on the cleaner telling you to check for discoloration before you use it.
Now you have to clean the whole bag and it will all be the same color again.
Over time that dark color will eventually fade back to the original but cleaning the entire bag so it matches is your best option for now.

You might try saddle soap and water, know this it too will darken the leather but it will dry out and lighten up.
