How do I adjust my manual coffee grinder?

It is wood with a brushed copper grinder and “Kaffee” plaque on the front. it’s grinding very fine and I want it to be more coarse. I tried adjusting the knob on top but it just made the handle loose and didn’t adjust the grind.
the bottom is flat with no lever that i can see. any other ideas?
