Well, good for you - I welcome old geezers like you any day - am am proud to say that I am one, too! We can't let the young whippersnappers have the dibs on all of the FUN, can WE? HEHEHEHE!

You can fix my car ANY day!!!!!!!!

Well back to your question, you don't have to change your monitor resolution - just do what most here are saying, change the character size, instead. There is a reason why the resolution has to be set to a certain size and to change it may be harmful to other programs and the system configuration. Programs not viewing correctly, weird color changes, flickering, power problems, ..etc. It is best not to change it if you can help it.

Click open your Internet Explore or any web browser. Then hold onto "Ctrl" key on your keyboard while scrolling backward the wheel (in between left and right clicks) on your mouse. This is increase the font size and make the web page look bigger. Scroll forward while holding down the "Ctrl" key to srink the size.

GOOD Luck and have fun!

That's the point of high resolution, to fit more on your screen. You get used to the websites looking small after a while. Give it some time.

I use 1600 X 1200 resolution and medium sized text.

on internet explorer, go to "view"..."text size"..."larger" or "largest"

for icons on your desktop, right click on the desktop to get your system's display properties...go to "appearance"...click on "effects"...check "use large icons"

or you can also go to "settings"...click on "advanced"...there, change your display's dpi settings from 96 to something higher like 120
