If you use a grinder as a blender, don't use liquids, and try to just use your grinder for just one purpose, such as herbs only or coffee only as the flavors will bleed over. I ground cloves and cinnamon and then back to coffee. I could taste cloves in the coffee and coffee in the cinnamon....yuck....

We have two coffee grinders. One for coffee. One for herbs.

A coffee grinder is not made to work with liquids. The seal around the blade shaft is not water tight.
