Failure to do this will result in you replacing them anyway as the alternator will eventually fail. For a amp just match the rms of the 2 subs combined and find a amp with the same power into the load your speakers create. i would go with a CEA-2006 certified amp to insure they are "real" watts, amoung the cheapest certified amps are sony and alpine...
