But if its making alot of noise it may need to be cleaned. Is there a manual that came with it? Look to see if there are any filters that need to be replaced - number one cause of air purifiers making noise they have been clooged up. Some now have "forever" filters that can simply be rinsed off once in a while is it a permanent filter? If so , it should state that. Go to the manufacturer web site too, they will have specifics on it or an 800 number to call.
