I bought a closed out dish washer, how do it check if it is work or not?

I bought Bosch SHX46A05UC Integra 500 which was RETURN SPEACIAL ORDER ITEM (open box & unused) at local Lowe’s for $495.00.
I checked and this unit is about $850-1100 brand new.
I don’t have a dishwasher at home right now and won’t be install this one at my new home another two months.

Per the store, I have to return within 30 days if I want a full refund.
I want to make sure that it is working.
So, can I run it in the backyard to see if it work or not?
