I'm not sure if I understand your question, but for my iPod I have a Monster iPlay which allows me to control my music through my iPod (except volume). It's an FM transmitter that plugs into the cigarette lighter, but works amazingly well. I drive quite a bit around the state (OH) and have never had to mess with the station selector - I never get static. I drove down to AR for Thanksgiving and I had trouble only twice with static (once near St. Louis and then in the small town I was in). It also charges your iPod, so you constantly have music. When you turn your car off, the iPod will automatically pause itself and turn off if left. It's expensive, but worth it.
